This is the official blog for William Bay, Wedding Photographer extraordinaire and all around great guy.

Seth's Headshots, and Off to Austin

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

In my last post, I mentioned that I took a few headshots of Seth for his business. I wanted to post these up here for you to view. These were the two best ones from the day and felt they should have their time up on the site. The first one is obviously more of an artistic portrait, and quite honestly reminds me of some of Edward Weston’s (one of my favorite photographers in history) portraits from the 20’s with strong directional light and very much trying to capture masculinity.
The second is much more appropriate for business. Professional, yet casual to show his personality on his website where he connects with his readers.

Heading to Austin

I’ll be leaving for Austin on Saturday. I have a series of photo sessions lined up, a wedding, a family portrait session, some bridal work I’m working on getting published and I’ll be assisting a really great friend and often times mentor for a photo shoot and lighting demonstration she will be giving.
And one of the things I’m looking to the most… Texas Barbecue! Mmmm.

  1. Bill, the lighting on that black and white portrait is beautiful.
